Bambusa glaucophylla – Malay Dwarf Variegated

1 Division / Starter Plant - Approximately 15" Tall

Clumping Bamboo – Will NOT become invasive

Malay Dwarf Variegated is a bushy hedging bamboo perfect for wider garden beds or pots and troughs. It has striking green and white variegated foliage that remains variegated in comparison to most of the other variegated bamboo.  Malay Dwarf Variegated will naturally grow to 10 to 15 feet in height and can be trimmed or hedged to the desired height or shape.  Its cane diameter will be between ¾ to 1 inch.

It has a dense growth habit and is a fantastic noise and wind barrier for ultimate protection.  Birds also love to nest within the branches so it is fantastic aviaries and bird lovers.  It easily submits to an electric hedger and can be shaped to a traditional hedge shape or into more exotic topiaries.

It is hardy down to 25 degrees and due to it’s smaller size can be brought in during the colder months if in a container.

The plants are recent divisions and are approximately 15" tall.  Please see the last photo of the listing - they may or may not have leaves. If you have any issue, please advise within 24 hours of receipt along with a picture of the plant in question and we will work through any problem.
