Steve Canyon, civilian pilot turned Air Force fighter embodied the ideals of many mid-century young readers. Along with Terry and the Pirates, these cartoon characters morphed into the most popular models for generations of boys, satisfying the armchair spirit of adventure and testosterone-driven heroics.

Good copy, without dustjacket. Frontispiece depicts Canyon on a camel, caption reading "Just in time for the 5:15 camel train, Hap!"
