A beautiful Scottish solid sterling silver quaich cup. It is hallmarked for Edinburgh 1973 with the makers marks being that of Deakin & Francis Ltd. It has been superbly made in a Celtic arts & crafts design. For those unaware these are filled with alcohol and passed around at celebrations, weddings and other such gatherings. It is in superb condition, having no dings splits or repairs. It measures approx. 5.25 inches (13cm) across including the handles and 3.5 inches (8.8cm) excluding them by over 1.25 inches (3.5cm) tall and weighs 76 grams. A beautifully clean example.
