A beautiful rare antique solid sterling silver and glass combination inkwell and pen stand. It is hallmarked for Chester 1900 with the makers marks being that of Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd. It has been superbly designed being in the form of a shamrock. It is in super condition being free from splits, dents and repairs. No cracks to the base. It measures approx. 3.75 inches (9.3cm) across by the same wide by 2 inches (5cm) tall and weighs of 476 grams. A very good quality well designed piece.
