This is a complete set of STAR TREK: THE ORIGINAL SERIES 40th ANNIVERSARY SERIES THREE premium trading cards (Rittenhouse/2009). This set is printed on a retro-style cardboard with no glossing (just like the old days). The set consists of 110 different cards in all (#221 - #330).

2006 marked the 40th anniversary since the U.S.S Enterprise began it's five year mission under the command of Captain James T. Kirk, and the face of science fiction television was forever changed. There are 110 cards to this set - each featuring images from the original ground-breaking Star Trek series.

Rittenhouse Archives produced 4 different card sets celebrating the 40th Birthday of Star Trek. One set was a comprehensive look at all 5 different Star Trek "Captains" from the different spin-offs & then there were 3 releases based on the "ORIGINAL SERIES." This release is the Series 3 release (#221-#330) & is based ENTIRELY ON THE ORIGINAL SERIES! There is also a Series 2 that was released back in 2008 & a Series 1 that was released in 2006.

The cards are printed on vintage style cardboard (like a pizza box) & laid out to match the overall look & design to the Topps Star Trek release from 1976. The card backs have puzzle pieces that form together to make larger scenes.
