Boba (or tapioca pearls) originated in Taiwan and are made of the starch derived from cassava root. When prepared perfectly, Tea Zone Original Tapioca Boba becomes sweet, chewy, and translucent with a gummy bear-like texture.

Tea Zone Original Tapioca Pearls are the classic boba and have moderate chewiness and softness. The tapioca balls are translucent spheres made from starch which is extracted from the cassava root. It is packaged and vacuum sealed, allowing a shelf life of 6 months.

How To Make Black Tapioca Pearls (Boba)

 Ingredients:

  • 16 oz. of Tea Zone Original Tapioca Pearls (Boba)
  • 4 oz. of Tea Zone Logan Honey
  • 16 oz. of Dark Brown Sugar or Tea Zone Dark Brown Sugar Syrup
  • Water

Directions:

  1. In a 24 qt. sauce pot, add 20 qt. of water and bring to a boil over high heat. Use a lid to reduce the cooking time.
  2. Switch heat to medium then place Tea Zone Original Tapioca Pearls (Boba) into the boiling water and stir (approx. 15 seconds) to keep them separated and from clumping.
  3. Continue to simmer (low heat) for 30 minutes and stir every 5 to 10 minutes.
  4. When the timer goes off, turn off the heat, place on a cool surface and let it sit an additional 35 minutes while covered.
  5. Meanwhile, mix Tea Zone Dark Brown Sugar Syrup with 32 oz hot water and Tea Zone Logan Honey to create the sugar mixture.
  6. Carefully strain and rinse the boba in a large colander to remove excess starch before soaking in a sugar mixture.
  7. Let the boba soak for 10 minutes prior to serving, and stir the cooked boba every hour.

Best used within 6 hours of preparing.

						All returns must have a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA No.). In order to qualify for an RMA No., the merchandise must be unopened and returned within 30 days from the date of receipt. The returned merchandise must be in good condition, properly sealed, and in its original packaging.

    A 10% restocking fee will be applied to ALL returns. Shipping & Handling charges will not be refunded and LollicupStore is not responsible for any Shipping & Handling fees incurred when returning items. Once an RMA No. has been issued, the merchandise must be received in our offices within 30 days. LollicupStore reserves the right to refuse any returns, not the following protocol.

    To return a product, please message to seller to request an RMA Number. We do not offer any exchange option at this time.

    Returns

    						Genuinely faulty goods will be replaced or money refunded, however we must be advised of any faulty goods upon receipt of the item. It is the customers responsibility to pay for and ship the item back to us. If the item is found to be faulty, we will also refund the postage cost.

HISTORY:
Lollicup USA was founded in 2000 when Alan Yu and Marvin Cheng opened the first Lollicup tea cafe in San Gabriel, CA. Their business quickly expanded and by 2006 more than 60 stores opened across the nation.

To maintain consistency and quality of their shops, Yu and Cheng established two brands, Tea Zone (2001) and Karat (2004). Tea Zone offers high-quality bubble tea and food and beverage ingredients, while Karat provides premium paper and plastic disposable goods and packaging.

Not long after establishing these brands, the company began providing its products and services to thousands of businesses, including many Fortune 500 restaurant franchises.

In 2013, after many years of expanding its presence in the market, the company’s headquarters relocated from Industry, CA to a 300,300 sq. ft. a facility in Chino, CA. This building houses a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant. Lollicup USA also operates three overseas agent offices to better serve international customers, and warehouses in Wilmer, TX, Sumner, WA and Summerville, SC.
