regina was founded in 1919 with the name "Società Italiana Catene Calibrate regina " and operates in the production of chains and freewheels for bicycles, mopeds and motorcycles.
Between World War I and World War II regina began its production of industrial and motorcycle chains, also approaching international markets. In 1956 regina founded Polimeccanica, a production branch in Buenos Aires (Argentina), which is still active today.
In 1958, the Group established Rex regina in Olginate (Italy), a joint venture for the production and marketing of industrial chains, a reality dedicated to the European market, which would last 20 years, until 1977, when regina acquired full ownership. .
In 1982, the production unit for stainless steel conveyors, plastic chains, belts and components was founded in Latina (Italy).
In 1985 regina established regina Warner in Cernusco (Italy), a joint venture to supply distribution chains for the automotive industry to the European market. Also in 1985 regina entered the North American market with the establishment of regina USA in Milwaukee, WI.
In the 1990s the Group grew significantly internationally, opening sales branches in Mexico, England and France, and founding, in 1993, a joint venture in China dedicated to the production of power transmission components for bicycles.
In 2004, a branch was founded in Tianjin (China) for the production and marketing of transport chains and belts. This strategic move has allowed the regina Group to gain a leading position in the Chinese market of high-level industrial transporters and chains.
In 2008, a subsidiary was founded for the production of industrial chains in Spain.
In 2010, a sales office was opened in the Netherlands, followed by another in 2015 in India.
In 2017, a highly assorted strategic warehouse was created in Dortmund (Germany).
