1887 "JOHN LEECH'S PICTURES OF LIFE AND CHARACTER" PUNCH ARTWORK BOOK (P8)

Great antique LARGE 1.8kg fine binding hardback book containing the artwork of John Leech for Punch Magazine. Contains illustrations throughout. No publication date but research shows that this was published in 1877. Photo 3 shows the lovely gold gilt page edges. Photo 14 shows that the inside cover right black page and the left portrait page opposite the title page in photo 4 have detached but page binding for other pages feel strong. Photo 15 shows exposed webbing on the inside cover crease. Photo 16 shows exposed webbing to the crease of the inside back cover. Pages themselves are in great condition especially as the book is 146 years old.  

Book measures 31.5cm tall x 24.5cm wide x 3.25cm thick. Weighs 1.8kg.
