Each Individual Volume measures approx, 16.5cm by 23.5cm and contains approx, 474 and 462 deckle edged pages respectively.
One hundred full page illustrations along with many smaller illustrations within the text, all by Heath Robinson.
The publications are fully collated and bound with no loss to the text.
There is some occasional foxing, more pronounced around the endpapers.
Internally the bindings are sound, a little loose at the inner joints of volume two, with some paper peeling, showing the cloth binding at the rear gutter (vol 2).
There is a previous gift inscription, dated 1935 to the first blank endpaper of volume one.
The cream and gilt cloth on board covers are in a good general condition with some age toning to the spine fascias and running edges.
