 Standard colours of US naval aircraft from 1950s till 1970s

 From late 1944 until 1955 all US carrier-based aircraft wore Dark Sea Blue overall colour.

After 1955 till late 1970s upper surfaces of carrier-based US Navy and USMC attack planes were painted in Light Gull Grey, with Insignia White used on lower surfaces. The opposite combination was used in "solar-heat reflecting" scheme of naval transport, patrol and ASW aircraft (with Seaplane Grey used on land-based planes).

International Orange was dedicated to “high-viz” painting schemes and used on training and SAR planes...

Details:

- Hataka Red Line series - Optimised for Airbrushing. NOTE - May require further thinning depending on Airbrush type, compressor setting and effect required.
- Can be brushed for touch ups.
