On offer here is this fine, vintage, Wild Heerbrugg M5 stereo microscope
together with the original steel protective casing/carrying dome with
leather suspension/carrying strap.
This appears to be one of the earlier renditions of this highly regarded
instrument manufactured in Switzerland by the scientific instruments firm of
Wild Heerbrugg, this model having been first introduced in 1958.
The microscope offered here has recently come out of storage, being part of
an estate and as such, although all elements seem to be working well, could
probably do with some TLC.
With this in mind, we’ve set a low starting price
giving plenty of scope to the enthusiast for restoration to its former glory.
This microscope comes with the original Wild 10x eyepieces which give 6x,
16x, and 40x magnifications. The eyepiece tubes open and close for
inter-pupillary adjustments and all mechanical movements are smooth.

Condition Report
This microscope is in working order and complete, as mentioned above it
has been in storage for some time. There is minor abarasian to some of the high points of the enamel finish. The lenses are in good order.
Our images are taken in a light tent meaning reflections are unavoidable.
There are no cracks, losses, scratches or repairs to report.
