How to protect your hand pan drum?
1. If there is no professional hand pan protective oil, use knife/gun oil or liquid wax. Protective oils that are corrosive, containing heavy metals, or endangering human health cannot be used. Water can't be used, too.
2. The oil should be rubbed frequently, and the hand pan should be evenly oiled with a non-woven cloth after each performance.
3. For hand pan drums that are not in use temporarily, choose a dry room and place them on the shopping rack. Then, apply oil frequently.
4. In areas with high air humidity, try to choose a ventilated room. You can add a desiccant inside the hand dish to reduce the humidity of the internal space.
5. If there is a small amount of rust spots, please wipe them off with a non-woven cloth dipped in oil as soon as possible. Never use sandpaper, steel wire balls or the like for sanding.
