This vintage quilt features the charming Sunbonnet Sue pattern, with embroidery and original 1930’s flour sack appliqué quilt squares with hand embroidery.
Measuring 45" x 67" cotton, cotton backed, hand tied with floss, filled with new polyester batting. This handmade piece is a one-of-a-kind addition to any collection. The quilt is in restored condition with new components, and showcases the historical and intrinsic beauty of hand crafted flour sack quilts of the depression era.  Its multicolor design in restored condition is a nice addition to collections of unique and beautiful textiles.
Spot clean only if necessary

Condition notes: clean, new back, batting, edge and separating strips.

Quilt squares are original, there are small holes, worn areas, frayed areas, broken quilt stitches and fading. Old batting is somewhat intact on quilt squares, a poly batting is placed over the newly joined and pieced top, and hand tied to back with floss.

To be displayed, the 1930’s sections are fragile, not sturdy as bedding.
Overall it’s charming, 1930’s flour sack used to create a cheerful quilt.
