Handwoven Denim Flower Brooch created from offcuts (zero-waste!)

Beautiful accessories created by hand from our handwoven khadi denim offcuts

We hate anything to be wasted so we've commissioned the very talented Madge Hatter, who specialises in all things accessory, to make some ethical, traceable flower brooches using the left-over bits and bobs from our denim children's clothes collection.

All the fabrics used are hand spun, hand dyed and hand woven by ethically run co-operatives plus the dyes and the processes used are kind to the environment.

Each brooch comes with a traceability code.  This means you can find out how the fabrics were created and meet some of the people involved.

Our handwoven flower brooches:

The cotton used in our brooches was spun and woven into cloth by hand - a fabric known as 'khadi' and promoted by Mahatma Gandhi to help create rural livelihoodsespecially for women.  The skills used are traditional, going back generations.

All processes and materials are planet-friendly - low carbon, low water and with no harmful additives.

Each brooch has a code on the label so you can explore its life story and get to know the people and processes behind it.
