A fine antique ruby and gold lustred Deruta maiolica bowl. The central tondo has a portrait of a classical/mythological figure. The glaze is covered in tiny cracks and there are some small nicks, chips and scratches. It has also been slightly unevenly thrown and there is some debris under the glaze. Label to underside with what looks like ‘Villa Demidoss/Demidoff di S. Donato/i or Dorato/i’ crossed out.
