Blackwood's tone profile resembles that of koa or mahogany in its midrange focus - Crisp and clear yet also warm - with an added splash of top-end shimmer and richness in rosewood.

The grain is riffsawn almost to quartersawn. Has a bark on the billet. - Not goes to template shown.

Thin varnish apply to show the figure. Still need to be sanded to get even more figured contrast.
