This is a blue, 1.5-Sen, Japanese postal stationery card(in superb condition!) intended for use in Imperial Japanese Post Offices in China. It was sent on January 8, 1919, from the Imperial Japanese Post Office in Shanghai, China, to Tokushima, Japan, by a Japanese businessman living in Shanghai.

To continue, admittedly, the English-language, CDS cancel from the Imperial Japanese Post Office in Shanghai is not too legible. CDSs from I.J.P.Os. in China are notorious(in my experience!) for not coming out too clearly when applied!

Lastly, the postal stationery card is in amazing condition! It has almost no stains on it! There is very little wear and tear on it. Considering that it's over 105 years old, this relatively rare, Japanese post card sent from Shanghai, China, to Tokushima, Japan, has survived the ravages of time very well!
