First three books of the 'Farthingale' series, a.k.a. 'Georgie & Spot'

Written by Mary Gervaise.  Beautiful illustrations by A.H.Watson. 

All are hard backs with dust jackets.

The photos are of the actual books on sale; they are NOT stock photos or photos taken from other peoples' listings.  

Condition -  I am not an antiquarian bookseller by trade so within reason I'll let the photos speak for themselves.  They are very old books and have issues commensurate with their age, such as browning of the pages.  Everything is complete though, with no known ripped pages or anything serious like that.  Some specific issues to mention are that: 

  • 'Fireworks' has the owner's name and address written, in pen, on the inside cover verso
  • 'Fete' has a rather shabby dust jacket, especially when compared to how good the jackets on the other two books are.
  • 'Feud' has a large and rather elaborate owners label pasted onto the inside of the front hard cover - see photo. I thought it wiser to leave intact rather than try to remove. The price has also been clipped off the dust jacket. 

Postage and Packing

I will always pack items as carefully and fully as possible.  I have over 15 years experience of buying (and sometimes selling) art works & books so I know what works and what doesn't!  I have a vast array of strong tubes and boxes at my disposal and will pack your book very carefully.

I do not aim to make any profit from postage charges (in fact I often make a loss).  If I do miscalculate I will refund you any difference.
