Cat trees are expensive! Definitely beats buying a whole new cat tree as the only thing wrong was the string hanging off of the posts. It's really worth it to repair the older stands. The cat tree will be perfect again!

Our sisal rope is thicker than the original that was on the cat tree but it just makes it easier to hot glue and wrap around the poles. When wrapping your items wear gloves.

  1. Remove the old rope and staples.
  2. Wind the rope tightly around the post, starting from the bottom or base. Hot gluing it down as you wrap. Push down on the rows as you wrap. This will create irresistible scratching posts.

You can also just stapled the bottom and wrapped it around and used the staple gun at the top.
