I have here for sale a 4 volume set entitled THE RURAL CYCLOPEDIA or a General Dictionary of Agriculture and of the Arts, Sciences, Instruments and Practice, necessary to the Farmer, Stockfarmer, Gardener, Forester, Landsteward, Farrier, etc.  Edited by the Rev John M Wilson.  Published between 1848 and 1850 they are first editions in fine binding.  Arranged alphabetically Vol I covers A-C and has 16 b/w and 5 colour plates, Vol II covers D-I and has 17 b/w and 2 colour plates; Vol III covers K-P and has 16 b/w plates and Vol IV covers Q-Z and has 10 b/w plates.  

Bound in half dark green leather on brown marbled hardboards.  5 gilt raised bands, gilt tooling, a red leather title block and a dark brown volume block both with gilt lettering/numbering to the spines.  Very slight rubbing to heads and tails. Minor wear to corners.  All boards firm.  Marbled endpapers  and page edges.  Light foxing just to prelims and flyleaf.  All other pages clean and binding firm.  Condition: very good.  Vol I - 926 pages, Vol II - 880 pages, Vol III - 956 pages and Vol IV - 797 pages.  26 x 17 cm.

Postage will be by Air Mail outside of UK.  If you buy more than one item then the postage cost falls for the second and further items as I will put them into one parcel - so you save money. We wrap and post the parcels on Monday and Tuesday - therefore if you pay before midday on Tuesday we will get it in the postal sacks on Tuesday night, and if it is after that time then it will go into the postal service on the following Monday.
