Franklin Mint Chess Set Of The Gods Chessboard Roman Gods Deity Ancient Rome.

Absolutely stunning collectors edition Chess set from Franklin Mint - Chess Set of the Gods. This is a super rare chess set since you could only own this by a weekly subscription and it wasn’t cheap!

Each piece is porcelain with 24k gold banding. Each Comes with its own presentation card The chess set itself is in excellent condition. Lightly played as are the pieces. There’s no wear/damage to the board from what I can see. There is however a chip in the wood on one leg - see last picture. Does not impact stability of the board only aesthetically.

A few things to note - Jupiter has had a repair. This is only visable when inspecting him close up and even then it’s for the knowing eye.

Two of the griffins have a small piece broke. One is an arm, the other is a wing. Both pieces are included and with some patience will be able to be reattached easily with TLC.
