IT IS ●●●VERY IMPORTANT●●● TO NOTE THAT I DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE IMPRESSED TINT MARK USED INSTEAD OF THE USUAL BENNINGTON TYPE. THAT SAID, THIS POTTERY APPEARS TO BE IDENTICAL TO MY OTHER BLACK AGATE PIECES MARKED BENNINGTON POTTERS.
THIS HIGHLY ESTEEMED COMPANY WAS FOUNDED BY DAVID GIL [nee Goldfarb] in 1948. HIS DESIGNS BEAR THE DG MARK.

SADLY, DAVID GIL PASSED AWAY IN 2018 AT THE AGE OF 79. HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE AND FOUR CHILDREN. THE COMPANY’S MANAGEMENT TEAM LED BY HIS WIFE CONTINUES TO PRODUCE WARES AS A WORKING MEMORIAL TO HIS LIFE’S WORK.
I AM SHOWING YOU THE POT PHOTOGRAPHED WITH BOTH FLASH & AMBIENT LIGHTING IN ORDER TO PROVIDE THE BEST IMPRESSION. AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTOS, THE GLAZE ON THIS POT IS THE SUPER COLLECTIBLE BLACK & GRAY AGATE. RATHER THAN THE USUAL BENNINGTON MARKS, THIS EXAMPLE IS IMPRESSED WITH THE WORD TINT. I DO NOT KNOW IN WHICH DECADE THIS PIECE WAS MADE. SO, I AM GUESSTIMATING 1980s FOR THE EBAY FIELD. THE MEASUREMENTS:
Approximately 6 1/8" high to the pot rim, 7 1/2" high to the lid knob, 8" wide handle to spout tip and 6" front to back. Filled to just below the drainage holes the capacity is 48 oz / 6 cups. The weight is just about 3 pounds. The completed carton will ship USPS insured Priority or Ground Advantage at the 4 pound rate.
THE CONDITION:
Considering that this is pre-enjoyed pottery, the overall condition is excellent, shiny and clean. ●●●Please allow the photos to guide you as they are the lion’s share of this description.●●● This is what I see to describe: when viewing from the outside of the pot, there is an opening way down inside the spout [see photo] but it is not there on the inside of the pot; there is a small manufactured glaze skip way down inside the pot [see photo]; there is a tiny bit of extra material just inside the unglazed rim inside the lid [see photo]; lastly there is some discoloration and scuffing on the unglazed base. ●●●I hope I have not missed anything. If I did, it was surely minor and 100% unintentional.●●● Just about 99% of the collectibles I offer are vintage/pre-owned and may show a small amount of use. I often heighten the contrast in my pictures to bring out all the details. The color you see may be slightly brighter or different than it actually is. Please inquire if you are concerned.
