This charming and small size vintage canister was produced for the very popular Botanic Garden range by widely recognized English china company Portmeirion c1972.
The canister is decorated with the rare botanical Orange Cactus pattern. The canister has a fitted wood lid with a rubber seal. Lid is not tight fitting...
A great addition to a collection...
As the years pass, these lovely vintage items become more precious... pieces are damaged, lost or collections are broken up. The good news for collectors is that quality pieces should not only hold their value but increase over time.
Condition:
The ceramic canister is in good vintage condition commensurate for age and use. No chips, fractures or discolouration. Some overall fine crazing. Colour and motif all excellent. The lid and rubber seal have a bit of aged wear. The seal needs replacing. Great collectable!

Established in the early 1960s, Portmeirion has a full history for a relatively short period of time... founded by Susan Williams-Ellis and husband Euan Cooper-Willis their business started in a small pottery shop in Wales. Initially Susan designed the items and they were manufactured by the A.E. Gray pottery. Not long after, Susan and Euan acquired the pottery and also Kirkhams pottery. From this merger Portmeirion was born.
