This neat, uncommon, Second Boer War cover was sent from Cape Town, South Africa, on May 14, 1902, to a Miss E. Coombes, The Red House, The Butts, Warwick, England! The sender was a Dr.(?) J. Dimmock, Army Service Corps, He appears to have been stationed at The Castle there in Cape Town!

To continue, the red, 1-d. Cape of Good Hope issue is in very good condition! The S.O.N., squared-circle CDS cancel from the G.P.O. Cape Town Post Office is pretty good.

Lastly, as for the envelope, itself, it's in quite good condition! There are a number of small tears in the top side caused when the mail was first opened. It's very clean, though! The back flap is intact, but does have some small tears in it due to how it was originally opened. Noted imperfections aside, this is still a nifty, unique piece of soldier's mail sent from Cape Town to England during the Second Boer War!
