Sterling Silver Salver by Henry Chawner - Antique George III (1793)

Description

This exceptional antique George III sterling silver salver by Henry Chawner has a plain oval form onto four bracket style feet.

The surface of the salver is plain and embellished with the contempoary bright cut engraved crest of a wolf"s head erased.

The rim of the salver is encompassed with an applied thread decorated border.

The salver is supported by four bracket style feet, ornamented with applied scroll and ball ornamentation in addition to a thread decorated border.

This impressive example of antique silverware was crafted by the renowned and collectable London silversmith Henry Chawner.

Condition

This antique salver by Henry Chawner is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the salver are all very clear.
