A beautiful large English Victorian antique solid sterling silver dish or bowl. It is hallmarked for London 1898 with the makers marks being that of Wakely and Wheeler. It has been superbly made from thick gauge silver being decorated with fruits and most unusually snake like beaked creatures and what appear to be cats.  It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 10 inches (25.8cm) across  and 8 inches (20.5cm) by 2 inches (5cms) tall and weighs a very impressive 410 grams. A very good quality impressive piece.
