This auction is for a variety of eighty-two US $5 bills, all circulated showing various amounts of wear. Some have markings in pencil or pen. There are two Blue Seal Silver Certificates and eighty Red Seal Notes from Series 1963. The first Blue $5 Silver Certificate is from Series 1934 C, showing L 1967 to the right of the series shown above Washington DC. The blue serial number is Q36181038A. On this bill, the gray word Five and the blue seal on it (to the right of President Lincoln's portrait) are larger than what is showing on all of the other bills in this lot. The number 5 to the left of the portrait is blue. The second Blue $5 Silver Certificate is from the Series 1953 A. Its serial number is E95570327A. The size of the word Five and seal here are smaller than the first Blue Five, the same as those on the Red ones. The number 5 on the left side is gray instead of blue. ~ Next are eighty Red Seal Notes. Seventy-six of them have serial numbers that begin and end with an A (A35902854A, for example - see photos). On the other four Red Seal Notes, one of them has a serial number that starts with a B and ends with an A - B12843044A. The markings of this bill are closer to the edge at the top of the paper, showing a thinner cream upper border, so showing a thicker cream bottom border. The right cream border is thicker than the left, too. This may be a printer error. The other three Red Fives have a serial number that begins with a star (*) - *00015030A, *01192936A, & *01342808A. Their borders do not seem very equal either, so it must be fairly common. ~~ These have not been certified or appraised. They were something my father passed on to his children, after they were passed on to him from his own father, or from what he just collected himself. All have been circulated, as mentioned, so show wear - some more than others. They still might be a nice addition to someone's collection. Most of them are worth only $5 or $6, but the large blue seal and the Red bills with the odd serial numbers are more uncommon, so possibly worth more. The total face value of these 82 Five Dollar bills would be $410. I will set the opening bid amount a little more than that, in case some are worth more. Hopefully the pictures do them all justice. ~~ Please see my other listed items. Buyer to pay all shipping & handling costs, but shipping may be combined (for destinations in the U.S. only). International bidders will be responsible for separate shipping costs for each item purchased. ~~ My combined shipping policy is this: I weigh the entire package after you have finished bidding over a week's time (unless we agree ahead of time to a different timeframe). I estimate the shipping fee based on that weight and your zip code, using the USPS website. I add a $2 handling fee for the first item. That fee is already included in the amount shown on the item description’s shipping calculator. It covers the costs for packaging, printing, and gasoline. Delivery confirmation is covered at no extra cost. I charge $1 handling for each additional item. I ship locally using USPS Priority Mail. I will mail these in a flat rate padded envelope that costs $10.60 & will include an additional fee of $9.15 for insurance to cover up to $500 based on the USPS website. Feel free to message me for an estimate if you are considering bidding on multiple items, or if you have any questions. Please be sure to request a combined-shipping invoice if you win multiple items from me. Also, if you are a return customer, remind me and I may be able to reduce the handling fees. Thank you for looking.
