Silver pieces produced by Nathaniel Mills are exhibited in Birmingham Assay Office and at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and are much sought after by individual collectors.  Amongst most popular are Nathaniel Mills Castle Top Vinaigrettes and visiting card cases, engraved with British landmarks.
This exquisite antique vinaigrette, crafted in Birmingham in 1852 by Nathaniel Mills in Serpentine form, showcases a beautiful Castle pattern on its solid silver body. Possibly Windsor Castle, home of Queen Elizabeth II until her death.  The hallmarks are clear to read.  The gilding to the grille is beautiful.  The lid and grille both open and close beautifully,  still a perfect fit.
