Written in Spanish. Index at the back of each volume. Red and black type to the title pages.
Tomo I of Castilla de Nueva has a fold-out panorama of Madrid, 4 tipped in b/w photographic plates. 398 pages.
Tomo II of Castilla de Nueva has 4 tipped in b/w photographic plates and one colour plate (this is detached). 432 pages
Tomo II of Navarra y Logrono has 3 tipped in b/w photographic plates, 552 pages
Tomo III of Navarra y Logrono has 8 tipped in b/w photographic plates, 757 pages.
In addition, all volumes have a large number of in-text and full page illustrations as well as illustrated chapter headers.
Bound in lovely red hardboards with elaborate black, red, gold and silver patterns to both boards and spine. Gilt title and volume lettering to the spines too. All 4 volumes in very good/fine condition. Gilt and red patterned page edges. A very attractive set. 25 x 17 cm.
