I have here for sale a book entitled ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY YEARS OF PAPERMAKING BY HAND by J BARCHAM GREEN published by Barcham Green, Maidstone, in 1960.  Limited Edition No 91 of 1,000 numbered copies, and signed by J Barcham Green on 30 April 1962.  The Green family has been engaged in papermaking since the end of the 17th century with successive generations practising their craft first at East Malling, and then from 1810 at Hayle Mill, Maidstone.  The book includes 1 full-page colour plate, 8 pages showing 16 b/w illustrations, and 2 diagrams.

Cream cardboard covers protected by modern marble paper covers of Douglas Cockerell and Son on hand-made paper with a title label with black and green lettering on the front cover together with a library label at the bottom left corner.  Hand-made paper Linton 25 lb. Light Tone Medieval Demy, "not" pages with rough cut edges.  Ex-library copy with label on the front endpaper and a stamp on the last page.  All pages are tight and the book is in very good condition.  27 pages.  20.5 cm x 13.5 cm.

Formerly owned by Bury Public Library Reference Department with their label on the inside of the front board.

We wrap and post the parcels on Monday and Tuesday - therefore if you pay before midday on Tuesday we will get it in the postal sacks on Tuesday night, and if it is after that time then it will go into the postal service on the following Monday.
