I have here for sale a genuine eighteenth century document. This is an INDENTURE, dated 1704. The deed is an inhibition (a formal legal, debt recovery procedure that prevents someone who owes money from selling their home or re-mortgaging) between William Wilsone and Andrew Corby and his spouse. The document references Lochmaben in Scotland - this is in Dumfries about 4 miles from Lockerbie.

1 folded sheet. Remnants of where 1 red wax seal would have been. Heavy tanning/discolouration throughout. Tears to creases and to edges of document. Does impede legibility in places.

The sheets measure 47 cm x 34 cm and is in good condition.
