Antique Chinese black lacquered calligraphy brush box with catch in good order ( See pics for exact condition ) it's a particularly early example of it's type featuring what I think are Sparrows stunningly and intricately painted in gold, the Catch works soundly as do hinges no real serious damage to surface some surface scratches and it's faded some in places with age and cleaning ( See pics ) the fading gives this lovely item a genuine antique looks suitable to compliment or indeed start any collection....
