**For those who know me/my pens, I took a long break from making them because I started to feel pressured (my own fault) to make them and wasn't enjoying what I've always loved. I'm re-starting, slowly, but I won't have a specific store category for 'handmade fountain pens'. I'll list them as I make them & put them in with the factory made fountain pens.

The Fountain Pen
(I make and sell my fountain pens for the lowest possible price because I want them to be affordable and not something beyond reach. The price of all the components has gone up of course, so I still include an ink converter and 5 ink cartridges to try and make things a little 'better').
  • This is a larger style fountain pen shown with a regular bic biro and ruler in the photos.
  • Made from a material called resin, which is very much about 'light' and depth.
  • This is made by hand, not by a machine, so you'll never see another one exactly like it anywhere.
  • The nib is between fine and medium, not quite fine and not quite medium (quite common).
  • Resin only shows its colours and patterns when its almost finished, and no 2 pieces are the same, so I've taken photos from different angles to show the pattern.

It comes with 5 ink cartridges and an ink converter (it takes 2.66mm cartridges when you need to get more, & I have them in my store listings)

It has a twist action to open and close

General Fountain Pen Instructions & Guidelines

To insert an ink cartridge (refill):
  • Unscrew the nib (twist to unscrew)
  • Insert a new cartridge by pressing it (narrow end in) to the nib section,
  • Press until you hear it click into place (you can stand the cap and cartridge up on a flat service & press until it clicks in)
  • Screw the pen back together
  • Give the pen a couple of shakes to let the ink go into the nib (it will take a little time for the ink to start flowing as you write)
To Use An Ink Converter: (You will need a bottle of Ink)

A converter is a device that plugs into a pen like a cartridge and allows the pen to draw in bottled ink through the nib.
Ink converters come in different shapes and sizes, but they all work the same way. Twisting the knob at the end of the converter moves a piston inside the converter up and down, creating a vacuum that draws ink up into the pen.

  • Remove the converter from the fountain pen
  • Place the clear end into the ink (make sure that the end is in the ink)
  • Twist the red end until the ink is taken up into the clear section
  • When it is full, remove from the ink bottle & wipe any residue
  • Insert the converter onto the fountain pen nib section (gentle press)
**For a new pen, you may need to give the pen a few shakes to get the ink flowing to the nib. You can also run the nib under a cold tap to get ink flowing & some will need a little more encouragement to get the ink flowing (writing until ink comes into the nib).

Every fountain pen is carefully checked before shipping
