What does this Tuning Kit do? This Peartune tuning kit removes the 16mph (25km/h) speed limit, allowing the motor to help you at higher speeds. For these Shimano bikes, the speed limit is raised to 31mph (50km/h).
Real speed will be displayed up to 14-15mph (22-25km/h), at higher speeds the bike will show incorrect, slower than real speeds.
How does Peaturne Work?
The tuning kit manipulates the speed signal without altering the motor's power relative to pedaling speed. This guarantees a smooth motor control without speed limit interruptions. Depending on a tuning kit, some determine when assistance stops, while others remove the restriction entirely for continuous support. However, the achievable speed mostly depends on the eBike model. Achievable speed can be calculated using a simple formula:
Speed = Cadence [rpm] * Wheel circumference [mm] * Front Chainring Teeth / Rear Chainring Teeth * 60 [min/h] / 1.000.000 [mm/km]
The tuning kit can be activated directly on your bike?s display. After pressing the 'LIGHT' button, from now on you will be able to ride at a speed of 25 mph (40 km/h) and even up to 31 mph (50 km/h)!
To deactivate the tuning kit, press the 'LIGHT' button again. Your e-bike will then work the same as before installation of the chip. If the Light button is not activated on your ebike, do not connect red cable, and tuning kit will be activated when you will turn on the ebike.
Is this Peartune the right tuning kit for my bike?
This Peartune tuning kit is made to fit bicycles with the Shimano E8000 / E7000 / E5000 / E6002 / E6012 / E6100 motors with electronic gear shifting system Di2.
If your E-bike does not have a Di2 system, you would need Peartune MSO 3.0 For Shimano E8000, E6100, E6010, E6012, E5000, E7000 without Di2

When connecting Tuning Kit to an e-bike you will find connectors colored to make installation very simple. We have prepared detailed instructions and videos to make installation easy for you. Disassembly of our tuning kit is just as easy. If you have any troubles with installation or disassembly, do not hesitate to contact us.
If you are planning to install Peartune on a brand-new bike, make sure you ride it for at least 0.6 miles (1 km) before the tuning kit is activated.
