This nifty, uncommon, red, 20-Paras, Ottoman Empire postal stationery card(w/some stains on the front, and creases around its edges, especially so at the corners) was sent from the small village of Caesarea(Cesaree in French; near Hadera), Palestine to Paris, France, some time after October 20, 1887(the date the message was written)! The sender was requesting a catalogue from a business there in Paris. Unfortunately, for whatever reason(s), the addressee's name and address were erased at some point.

To continue, from Caesarea, the mail likely went through the Ottoman P.O. in Haiffa on November 9(?). Unfortunately the CDS is not legible enough to identify definitively. The card reached Galata, Turkey, on November 10th, and departed the Constantinople-Galata P.O. on November 12th. Noted imperfections aside, this post card is a fascinating, uncommon piece of Ottoman Empire mail sent all the way from Caesarea, Palestine, to France over 136 years ago!
