This cute little locomotive was built in 1939 by Kusunoki Works in Osaka, Japan.

It was used for coal transportation on the Keelung Coal Mine Railway during the Japanese occupation of Taiwan.

In 1972, it was returned to Japan by narrow gauge railroad enthusiasts.

In 1973, it was taken over by the Rasschijin Railway Society (an organization of railroad enthusiasts formed in 1973).

It is now in the care of the Rasschijin Railway Society and is preserved in operational condition on the Makiba Line at the Narita Yume Farm in Chiba, Japan.
