Engraver : Raymond Delamarre (1890-1986) – considered as one of the ‘new breed’ of French sculptor-medallists (along with Albert Pommier, Georges Guiraud, Annette Landry, and others). These medallists enjoyed the freedom of form, and Delamarre became on of its masters. Even though accomplishing a very wide array of medals, one of his best known pieces is the Art Deco-style Compagnie Generale Transatlantique.
