🌺🌺RARE, Joseph K. Straus, “Vase of Poppies” Vintage Wooden puzzle. Over 200 pieces. This Highly Collectible, Hand-cut, Wooden puzzle was produced in the 1940’s-1950’s. Beautifully detailed portrait of a vase of Red poppies. This Unique floral puzzle is from the Joseph K. Straus earlier production series, which were packaged in mottled tan boxes with no picture.

The puzzle is in very good condition, especially given its age, with some light wear and an aged scent. Note, there are a few missing small knobs that do not detract from the beauty of this puzzle. The Original box is in good overall condition, has some storage wear, tape residue, marks. All pieces are in a sealed bag. There may be some light glare/reflection or shadow on some photos. Joseph K. Straus set up his own puzzle business along with his wife, in Brooklyn, NY in 1933. For over 30 years they were a prolific producer of puzzles, especially after WW II. The firm closed in 1974 when the last family member retired.
