This unique, censored, express Italian mail was sent from Catania, Italy, to Malta(in care of the Italian Consulate there), on June 16, 1916! The addressee was an Italian Naval captain, Edoardo Winspeare! He's almost certainly an ancestor of Italian actor, screenwriter and director, Edoardo Carlo Winspeare Guicciardi! The auxiliary notes in pen(purple on the front; in black on the back) show that the sender felt a keen sense of urgency to communicating with the Captain!

To continue, the two, Italian definitives are in quite fine condition! The SOTN CDS from the Catania P.O. are pretty nice, but a bit light/faded in areas. The pinkish, triangular censor cachet is nifty! The, "PER ESPRESSO," markings are pretty neat, too!

Lastly, as for the cover, itself, it's in fine-very fine condition. It has some stains on it in its top, left corner. There are some minor creases here and there, too. The back flap is 99% intact. Noted imperfections aside, this cover remains a really neat piece of WW1 mail sent to Captain Edoardo Winspeare of the Royal Italian Navy!
