Sterling Silver Sugar Caster by Harrison Brothers & Howson - Art Deco - Antique George VI (1939)

Description

This exceptional antique George VI sterling silver sugar caster has a tapering panelled form onto a plain octagonal spreading foot.

The surface of the caster is plain and embellished with an applied band of undulating decoration to the upper portion.

The antique silver sugar caster retains the original hallmarked push fit cover featuring Art Deco style pierced geometric motifs.

The cover is surmounted by an iconic Art Deco style tiered angular sterling silver finial.

Condition

This antique silver sugar caster is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The caster has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body and part hallmarks to the sleeve of the cover are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of antique teaware.
