Cold War Era Gear Eastern Bloc Used Hungarian M70 Helmet. This helmet belongs to the Hungarian Peoples Army, it was first manufactured in the 70s and used until the 90s, quickly being changed for the new kevlar helmets. The shape of the helmet being a copy of the Soviet SSH-40. The helmet has a four pouch liner and it was supposedly painted with anti infrared protection. This helmet in particular has clear signs of extended use, its clear that one of the chinstraps has been change, that same chinstrap has a cut almost being detached but still remains. You can notice the liner and one of the chinstraps are original. Another detail is the paint on the helmet is being fading but is still attached. Even though the helmet has stop being produced in the 90s there is still use of it on military training that might being the reason of the used condit
