This uncommon, red, 4-Milliemes, Egyptian postal stationery card(in fine-very fine condition, with some minor stains here and there, and small creases around some very-slightly, rounded corners) was sent from Port Said(clean CDS is 80% complete), Egypt, to Jerusalem, Palestine, Ottoman Empire, on May 29, 1902. The sender appears to have been a member of the American Colony in Jerusalem then visiting or residing there in Port Said for some reason! The addressee was a member of that same colony, a Mr. Eric Lind, a Swede, and photographer working for the the American Colony Photo Department in Jerusalem! From online records found concerning the American Colony in Jerusalem, at the time of writing, Eric would have been around 18 or so. The writer and Mr. Lind seem to have been quite close.
