Here is an ORIGINAL LUNCHEON MENU from the 1955 cruise of the UNITED STATES LINES newest cruise ship the S.S. UNITED STATES. This is the full, ORIGINAL LUNCHEON MENU for FRIDAY OCTOBER 7, 1955. The menu is of heavy stock and is dated in the lower right corner of the menu. The luncheon menu is a two page bi-fold and measure 11 inches by 8.5 inches. This cruise was departing SOUTHAMPTON, ENGLAND for NEW YORK CITY on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 6, 1955. This menu is a real beauty! We believe it would be very difficult to find a 69 YEAR OLD cruise ship menu in better condition than this. There are NO bends or creases to any of the menus. There is light bumping to the edges and corners, but, no marks or stains of any kind. It appears that this menu was preserved very carefully during passage and stored away after reaching home. A wonderful item!
