This is a nice Real 1598 to 1621 KING PHILIP the III, Spanish Treasure Era Cob Coin. The detail shows. This is an authentic Spanish BILLON SILVER MIX Cob coin. This coin was hand struck and was made of a Silver and Copper mix. "Billon" is lower-grade silver. These coins were struck in low grade silver and sometimes look more like they are made of copper.  

 It is getting harder to find nicer examples of these older coins in nice circulated condition at low prices. These old authentic cob coins are about the size of a U.S. Dime to Quarter, and sometimes even larger.
