Up for sale is a killer Hagstrom Viking I serial number 646556 Made in 1965-66 in Sweden.

This vintage guitar is All Original

It is a very lightweight full hollow body guitar that has a wonderful vibe.  Slender fast taper neck and a unique tobacco burst finish paired with a set of Hagstrom vintage screen pickups.  These pickups have a sound all of their own that is more reminiscent of a gold foil pickup than a P90 or DeArmond. Nice and airy sounding, but has an edge to them as well

Some chipping and wear are evenly distributed across the instrument, mostly light finish crazing and small scratches. All of the wear is consistent with a 60-year-old used instrument. There are no major dents or dings or signs of abuse, just accumulated wear.

We spent a lot of time setting it up and it plays great. The frets were recently dressed and the action is low with no buzzes and better than expected intonation. The neck is fast and skinny with a 1 9/16 inch nut width. It also has an unusually small Sunburst on the top with a black back, and sunburst sides and neck. We've never seen another sunburst quite like this on a Hagstrom. Possibly it was an error while in the spray booth that necessitated more black finish. Either way, it is a striking looking guitar that really stands out from the crowd.

It comes with a period correct, possibly original hard case
