Vintage Torquay Motto Ware Pottery Vase.
Unusual clover/shamrock shaped top rim. Hand decorated sailing boat on one side and inscribed "A stitch in time saves nine" on the other.
Measuring approximately 4 inches high and with a diameter at the top 3 sectioned rim of 2 inches and 2 inches at the base.
No backstamp or makers marks to enable me to positively identify maker.
There is a small chip at the top outer rim (please see photograph with coin). There is the odd speck of grit under the glaze and a larger surplus above the word "stitch" from manufacture (please see photographs and zoom in). There is crazing to the glaze. Apart from the aforementioned, in good hand crafted vintage condition.
UK postage. I propose to send by Evri. I am happy to send to Highlands and Islands off mainland UK but please contact me for a quote with regards P&P in the first instance as the best price will possibly be by Royal Mail which will inevitably be more expensive.
