Pioneer Deck DAT D-05 Digital Audio Cassette Tape tested from Japan F/S

Description

Used : Operation has been confirmed. It is in very good condition with few scratches and dirt.

DAT deck with wide bandwidth (HS: High Sampling) mode capable of 96 kHz high sampling.

The wide bandwidth mode is twice as high as the conventional 48kHz sampling rate, 96kHz. This expands the range to ultra-high frequencies and produces a smooth sound that can only be achieved in the wideband mode.
In the wideband mode, the signal processing LSI and the capstan motor and drum motor operate at twice the speed of the standard mode, enabling recording and playback beyond 40 kHz. In addition, recording time is halved in wideband mode because the tape is run at twice the speed of the standard mode.
(Wideband HS mode is the same function as the WIDE mode of the D-07, but with a different designation.)

Legato Link Conversion is provided to more closely match the original signal waveform.
This is a structure that performs digital signal processing based on the signal recorded on tape and uses a smooth function curve between the data to obtain sound reproduction close to the original before it was recorded on tape. The system also estimates the original signal before recording and can reproduce sounds above 20 kHz according to the 1/f attenuation characteristics to achieve more natural sound reproduction.

The LP mode provides twice the recording time of the standard (SP) mode for analog input recording and digital input recording with a sampling frequency of 32 kHz. This allows up to 4 hours of continuous recording on a 120-minute tape.
