In 2011 the Demon House was the location of the Ammons family haunting and possession, and countless years of paranormal activity. It is considered one of the most authenticated case of possession in American history.

In 2011 Latoya Ammons, her mother, Rosa Campbell, and her three children rented the house.

Ammons claimed she and her three young children had been possessed by spirits inside the home.

Soon the Gary Police Department & the Indiana Department of Child Services launched an investigation, and some of the biggest skeptics were made into believers. 

The social worker, doctors, and Gary police Capt. Charles Austin were witness to much of the paranormal activity. Reports of their eyes bulged, voices deepened and evil smiles while possessed.

They were concerned about Ammons 9-year-old son the most so he was brought the the hospital to be seen. Once there he began acting strange again, his voice deepened and violent outbursts. This all culminating when he walked up the wall backwards in the presence of a family case manager and hospital nurse.

The Ammons moved out of the house in 2012.

Paranormal investigator Zak Bagans purchased the house sight unseen in 2014. Soon after, the investigation began. Zak would soon find out that the Demon House is in fact one of the most authenticated case of possession as seen the documentary “Demon House”.

In January of 2016 Zak Bagans would have the house demolition. The lot lays empty except for the large tree in the front yard.
