Vintage set of Pharmaceutical Balance Scales by Down Bros Ltd. I'm not sure when these were made but I did manage to track down what looks like an earlier model in an 1885 Down Bros catalogue in which it's listed having a glass pan so I assume the brass pan on mine is not original, that would explain why I needed a small piece of paper (see last picture) to "zero" the pointer. They are still a lovely little set of scales, in good used condition. See Photos.
