Available for play is an early example of a Kay Galaxie that's loaded with the nice Barney Kessell "Kleenex box" pickups. The adjustable poles (for string-to-string balance) and stronger output make these pickups more useful for modern applications than most old Kay pickups. This is a very open and acoustic sounding electric guitar!. Light as a feather and exceedingly playable it’s a singer/songwriters dream. Finger picked or strummed this thing is a joy!

It is in cosmetically excellent condition. There are some scratches on the side that is shown in the pictures, and a few small dings on the back. There is some light finish cracking, but it is very gentle and the Finish is completely intact. The guitar is all original with the addition of an extra strap pin at the tail piece because the original White plastic button doesn't seem to have enough room for a strap. The action is low, the setup is excellent and it is ready to play out of the box.

Like other "Speed Demon"-type Kay guitars, this one has a long scale, medium-fat neck, and a heavy-duty, thick-ply body. At first glance you might think "poor man's ES-125T," but they really are beasts unto themselves. I do like the figured-maple veneer on the body, though, and the tobacco sunburst.
